Raising Monarch Butterflies – A Summer Tradition!
We are busy raising and releasing Monarch Butterflies! In a typical summer we successfully release (and save!) 25-30 butterflies!
In 2016, the Committee for the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) listed the Monarch Butterfly as Endangered. We are working hard to help bring back this beautiful butterfly species!
We use a laundry hamper from Dollarama as an enclosure. It is a great size and we can easily see all the caterpillars activity!
