Terrariums are like aquariums, but for plants!
Creating a terrarium is a great “at home project” to try with the kids since the garden centres in Ontario are all RE-OPENING!
Here’s what you need to get started:
– A glass vase, bowl or container (make sure it’s clean and pretty:)
– Decorative rocks
-Decorative sand
-Artificial plants
-Decorative figures (GNOMES AND FAIRIES!)
OR GO FOR REAL PLANTS:
-Activated charcoal (to prevent yuckiness)
-Rocks (river rocks or pebbles)
-Soil
-Real plants ( smaller plants like succulents). You could also ask your local garden centre staff for ideas!
Make sure you remember to water the plants, but not too much.
Place in indirect light and enjoy for weeks to come!
